Philippines: Typhoon Haiyan Relief Update #5
With the active participation of local stakeholders, PBV and partner PDRRN are distributing emergency shelter repair kits and kitchen starter kits to 1,010 households in 15 barangays (towns) on Biliran Island.

Japan CSO Coalition for 2015 3rd World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (JCC2015)
JCC2015 is a network of CSOs working towards the 3rd World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, to be held in Sendai in 2015. The network works in close partnership with CSOs around the world to participate actively in the establishment of the Post-2015 Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction (HFA2), aims to build strong and resilient communities, and aims to share Japanese CSO’s experiences and lessons learnt with the international community.

Typhoon Haiyan Relief: Biliran Island
PBV is currently working in Biliran Island, Philippines, assisting families who have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan. The typhoon passed through the southern part of the island, leaving behind wide-spread devastation. Here is a brief situation report on Biliran Island and the activities of various NGOs and the UN.

Typhoon Haiyan Relief – Project Update
PBV will be distributing kitchen starter kits (including pots, pans, kitchen utensils, kettles, etc.), as well as other relief supplies, to approximately 600 affected households with the most urgent needs on Biliran Island, Philippines.
