Emergency Response to Cebu Earthquake: Delivering Lifesaving Water to Victims
The northern region of Cebu Island in the Philippines was severely affected by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake on September 30. In response, the Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) has dispatched staff to initiate water supply support in the impacted areas in collaboration with SWFEC-Ph. Amidst ongoing building collapses and disrupted lifelines due to the intense tremors, securing safe drinking water has emerged as a critical challenge.
