Torrential Rain Special Warning Issued in Ishikawa and Toyama Prefectures
Heavy rain continues to affect Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures, and as of 9:00 a.m. on August 27, a Special Warning for Heavy Rain remained in effect. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) held an emergency joint press conference, urging people in the affected areas to remain on maximum alert.
