New Year’s Greetings 2020
Thank you for your continued support to the PBV! The year 2019 was, again, a year with devastating disasters around the globe. In mid-March, the powerful cyclone, Idai, struck southern African countries and caused severe damage in Mozambique. In summer, unprecedented heavy rains flooded Northern Kyushu in Japan, followed by typhoons No. 15 and No. 19 in Eastern Japan. While we engage in relief activities in the damaged areas, we are concerned about the scale and frequency of the storm-related disasters we have witnessed in recent years.
