PBV’s Relief Efforts in Noto Continue: FooBour project

PBV is implementing “FooBour” project by using food truck in Suzu.

The project name “FooBour” is a coined word combining “Food” and “Harbor”. Currently, FooBour is based in the tsunami-affected area in Suzu and provides food assistance to disaster victims. Local residents can access this truck at any time to obtain food, water, and other daily necessities.

The truck is unmanned, and household items such as water, retort pouch food, and clothing are always stored, replenished or items replaced as needed. There is also a refrigerator, which contains yogurt and other food items. The service allows registered residents to receive a card key so that they can use to enter and exit the vehicle 24 hours a day.

“FooBour” plays an important role in supporting the daily lives of disaster victims. Some residents have difficulty traveling long distances, such as the elderly with limited mobility or those who need nursing care. With reconstruction still in progress, daily shopping is one of the biggest challenges for residents.

We seek your continued support for our relief efforts in the Noto peninsula.
