Partnership Agreement Signed with Wajima City for Long-term Disaster Recovery

Nearly one year has passed since devastating floods struck the Noto Peninsula. Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) continues to work closely with Wajima City Office, managing and organizing relief supplies. This crucial work relies heavily on corporate volunteers who regularly assist in the operations.

Volunteers meticulously categorize items by manufacturer, product name, and quantity, while creating a comprehensive database with photographs to maintain clear inventory records.

On August 21, 2025, PBV and Wajima City signed a comprehensive partnership agreement, focusing on long-term recovery efforts. PBV has maintained a constant presence in Wajima since the immediate aftermath of the Noto Peninsula earthquake, working in close coordination with local government officials on various initiatives, including coordinating aid reception and providing guidance for evacuation centers.

The new agreement aims to strengthen cooperation across multiple areas, including building disaster-resilient communities and developing next-generation leadership. “This partnership represents our commitment to creating a safer, more resilient Wajima,” says a city official.

The collaboration demonstrates an ongoing commitment to comprehensive disaster preparedness and community development in the region.
