PBV Holds Online ”Household Disaster Preparedness Planning Workshop” in English for Foreign Residents
On October 19th, Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) hosted an online edition of its ”Household Disaster Preparedness Planning Workshop” aimed at equipping foreign residents in Japan with essential knowledge to navigate the country’s unique disaster risks. This session was delivered in English by PBV international team. The workshop offered insights and practical advice on disaster response.
The session addressed key preparedness quiz relevant to Japan, such as:
- An emergency earthquake alert has been issued on the TV or smartphone. What should you do first?
- What are the challenges you are likely to face during and after the earthquake?
Participants received valuable guidance on daily readiness strategies, drawn from PBV’s years of field experience, emphasizing the critical steps individuals can take to protect themselves and their families in Japan.
This type of training represents one of PBV’s activities.
