One Year Report on Ishikawa Noto Earthquake 2024

January 1, 2025 marked one year since a powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.

In the immediate aftermath, Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) mobilized swiftly to provide crucial aid and support to those impacted. Our dedicated teams on the ground in Suzu and Wajima focused on delivering hot meals, distributing essential relief supplies, managing evacuation centers, and restoring access to community bath.

One year on, PBV remains committed to the long-term recovery of the Noto Peninsula. Our teams continue to adapt their efforts based on the evolving needs of the community.

We invite you to learn more about PBV’s ongoing initiatives and the current situation in the affected area by exploring our One Year Report on the Ishikawa Noto Earthquake.
