Emergency Relief for a Community Affected by a Volcanic Eruption in Indonesia
On November 7, a massive eruption occurred at Mount Lewotobi on Flores Island, Indonesia, affecting more than 10,000 people.
Since the eruption, PBV has been in close contact with its local partner NGO, #ASAR Humanity, collecting information and coordinating support efforts.
More than a month after the eruption, many people are still living in temporary shelters or struggling with inconvenient conditions due to the disaster. To support the impacted residents, PBV distributed food packages—including drinking water, rice, cooking oil, and canned goods—to 280 affected households (1,400 people) through the ASAR Humanity’s team on the ground.
This relief effort was made possible through donations to the PBV’s Emergency Relief Fund and contributions from our monthly supporters.
We sincerely thank everyone for their generous support and cooperation.
