Donate Your Unwanted Items and Help the People in Need!
Planning a year-end clean up? What you don’t need may be a treasure to someone else! Did you know that there is a way to clean up your house and make a donation at the same time?
Otakara Aid and Value Books offer a service to pick up your unwanted items and donate their cash value to the Peace Boat Disaster Relief Volunteer Center (PBV). If you have any unwanted items in the list below, simply pack them up and send them to the designated addresses. They will be evaluated, and the value of the goods will be donated to the PBV. Your donation will be used to support relief activities conducted by PBV.
Items that can be donated:
Otakara Aid (お宝エイド) :Postal stamps, post cards (unused/unposted cards with stamps), DVDs, video games, musical instruments, cameras, lenses, mobile/smartphones, brand-name watches and bags, valid gift vouchers (such as book vouchers), gold and precious metals ( regardless of the condition), medals, antiques, swords, paintings, wall scrolls, diamonds, jewelry, tin toys, brand-name tableware (Meissen, Wedgewood, Baccarat, etc.), and high-quality wines and spirits. Pick-up for the items can be arranged for free with just a phone call.

Arigato bon (ありがと本) service provided by Value Books: Books, CDs, DVDs, and video games. The following books cannot be accepted: books without an ISBN, antique books, encyclopedias, heavily damaged books, newspapers, magazines, pornography, and books printed for self-publishing. Shipping fees are free when you send 5 or more books/CDs/DVDs/games.
