Season’s Greetings to everyone around the world.
From all of us at Peace Boat Disaster Relief, we extend our warmest season’s greetings and heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support! Your contributions are helping to provide essential aid and support to the affected areas!
While January first typically marks a time of celebration for the New Year, this year it also commemorates the first anniversary of the devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. Our thoughts continue to be with all those affected by the disaster, and we offer our deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones.
Throughout the past year, we have been dedicated to supporting the recovery of the region and assisting those impacted by the earthquake. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of generosity and support from people both near and far, which has allowed us to provide disaster relief both domestically and internationally, and to continue promoting disaster preparedness in our everyday lives.
Sadly, the Noto Peninsula earthquake was just one of many disasters that struck last year. Here in Japan, we saw typhoons, the heavy rains in Northeast Japan in July, and then further torrential rain that again impacted the Noto Peninsula.
We also offered our support internationally, following the large-scale fire in Chile, the Hualien earthquake in Taiwan, and other disasters such as volcanic eruptions and typhoons.
As we begin this new year, we carry with us the support and compassion gave to us. Our entire team remains committed to assisting those affected by these disasters and to building a more resilient society.
Again, Thank you for your continued support.
