Peace Boat Becomes an Organizing Partner for the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction

Peace Boat has become an Organizing Partner of the NGO Major Group for the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (3rd WCDRR).

The 3rd WCDRR will be held from 14 to 18 March 2015 in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Several thousand participants are expected to gather under the theme of building the resilience of nations and communities to disasters to adopt a post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction.

Organizing Partners are to facilitate the participation of the major group representatives throughout the 3rd WCDRR and its preparatory process, working in collaboration with other major group sectors of representatives present at the World Conference.
