Have you heard about Tokyo Inland Earthquake? It is a powerful earthquake that could occur in Tokyo in the next 30 years with possibility as high as 70% according to experts. It has been estimated that approximately 180,000 buildings would collapse in central Tokyo due to the mega-quake. Are you and your family fully prepared for such an event? Do you know how to contact your family when your smartphone does not work during the disaster?<\/p>\n

Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) is organizing workshops for international residents in Tokyo to raise awareness and improve preparedness for the possible mega-quake in Japan. The workshops are open to the public and conducted in English and simplified Japanese (\u3084\u3055\u3057\u3044\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e). During the workshop, you will gain practical knowledge on the basics of disaster preparedness, such as ways to prevent\/mitigate risks at home, evacuation procedures and emergency stockpiles.<\/p>\n
